Bet You Didn’t Know
The design of the newest generation of razors has been ergonomically enhanced to meet broad shaving needs. Features that distinguish newer razors from older, disposable razors include:
- Lubricating strips on the new razors contain advanced lubricating polymers that help lubricate the skin after each stroke. This way, the shaver can take an additional stroke in the same area, even after most of the shaving gel is gone.
- Special coatings maintain the strength and sharpness of the blade on the newest razors. At the same time, they decrease friction between blade and skin. In some razors, these blades are independently spring-mounted for optimal contact with the hair.
A single blade that can be used for specific grooming needs, such as shaving the sideburns, is featured on some new razors along with the multiple-blade head.
- Rubber guards on the newest razors help gently stretch the skin while setting up hairs to be cut.
